Dadfest is a 5K run run, festival, and health fair held Father’s Day weekend in Richardson, Texas at Galatyn Parkway and Central Expressway. The purpose of Dadfest is to raise awareness about prostate cancer and to honor dad. Unique to this 5K is a father/child division. There is also a 50 yard dash for children 8 and under and a diaper dash for the pre-runner crowd. The dads and kids love theFather/Child look-a-like contest. There are registration fees to participate in the run events but the festival is free. A free prostate cancer risk assessment and screening is offered at Dadfest for men 40 and older.
